Short CV Andreas Schlereth

Andreas Schlereth came to wind energy by his diploma thesis at Enercon in 2002/03. Working as application engineer at SKF he dealt with all major bearing applications of wind turbines such as blade bearings, main bearings, gearbox bearings, generator bearings and yaw bearings. At ILJIN starting from 2008 he focused on the development of new main bearing concepts for multi-megawatt wind turbines and integrated them to the turbines at AMSC Windtec starting from 2010. One focus was the analysis of the interaction of the electrical system with the mechanical drive train and the consequences for the performance of the bearing systems.
